The image went viral and now Shamavu has spoken of how he captured the now famous shot.
Shamavu explained that he caught the picture when he was on his phone and looked up to see the two gorillas mimicking his behaviour.
“In terms of behavior, they like to mimic everything that is happening (around them), everything we do,” Shamavu said.
The gorillas were orphaned 12 years ago after their families were killed by poachers.

The Warriors have broken a four-game NRL losing streak in a come-from-behind 26-18 win at Suncorp Stadium beating the Dragons

The Warriors skipper Tuivasa-Sheck was the hero of the night he scored two of the Warriors final tries in the win.

The Warriors were forced to fight back from being 10-0 down very early on.

At half time the Warriors were down 18-6 but in the second half, the Warriors scored 4 unanswered tries to win the game 26-18.

Becoming a New Zealand Citizen

On Tuesday the 9th of April, we went to Manukau to get New Zealand citizenship. We arrived there 12:47. We sit there like hour. We went to inside at 1:30. We met the manager. We wait 45 sec. My mum, my sister and I got citizenship. My dad didn’t get citizenship. My dad didn’t speak English. My dad really angry on the day. We went back home. 

Swimming with my sister.

Monday 25th March 2019

Last week, I was swimming with my sister at the swimming pool. A man slipped over the swimming pool. The man was a blind man. The water change into blood all over the pool. The blind man’s name was Tom. He was one of my friends. I felt sad for him. I told to the lifeguards, my friend slipped over the pool and ‘’please can you help him’’.They helped him to get out from the pool. Next morning I was talking to my mum about it.

  On Tuesday 26 th of March our class went to Mt smart stadium. We went there in a big bus with few other classes. I did 3 events, long jump, softball throw and 100m run. First I did softball throw. After that, I went do long jump. My last event was  100m run. Our group didn’t do relay. Because it was time to go back to school. I was tired but felt very happy.

Egypt story.

Monday 4th March 2019

On the weekend, I went to Egypt by a plane. On arrival I found a Gold watch and necklace. I asked the Egyptian man , can I take it to school. The Egyptian man said yes you can take it. Then I brought it to school both the gold watch and necklace. When I got home I had a rest. I felt sorry for owner about gold watch and necklace. Next morning I went to Egypt again to return the gold watch and necklace.

On Tuesday, our class went to Maritime Museum. We went to the city in a sommerville school van. We started by walking around the Museum. Me and Lilly did puzzle at the museum. At the museum our class saw many boats. Our class watched the movie about Polynesians coming to New Zealand. After the movie we had our lunch. After lunch we watched the cannon go off. It was very loud. Our class went on a boat trip. I saw harbor bride. I was interesting about New Zealand at the museum.

I was walking a lot at the city. I was very tired. My leg is very sore. I learnt about lifejackets. My favourite things is boat trip. I would like to go with my friends someday.

Back to School

Holidays are over and it’s time to go back to school dressed in our Edgewater uniforms.

We’ve packed our bags with books, pencils, scissors, rubbers, and pens.

Oh No! We nearly forgot to pack our lunch boxes, filled with sandwiches, fruit and other yummy treats.

After a quick Goodbye to mum it’s into the taxi and off we go.

When we get to school and get out of the taxi we enter the classroom and say “Hi” to everyone.

We are all happy to be back at school!
